At 25 minutes from Aix en Provence ,
55 mn from Avignon, the preserved territory of the
Luberon is one of the most magical places of Provence.
The 23 villages that comprise this area of woodlands, vines,
cherry and olive trees offer breathtaking views over the
Mourre-Nègre mountain at an altitude of 3300 feet,
towering above the Durance plains. Sometimes rupestrian,
sometimes Florentine, wild, but kept in check by the work
of man, this valley bears the mark of man, and has been
a source of inspiration for many.
Today the Luberon accommodates his hosts for cultural, festival
and gastro-
nomical discoveries as well as sporting activities.
